The Medium

Unrushed medium-format portraiture

We work exclusively with natural daylight and silver halide film in our daylight studio. We craft physical, timeless portraits that carry a tangible depth and painterly stillness designed to outlast modern digital trends.

The Method

Three deliberate steps

The daylight session

The silver development

The archival print

An unhurried portrait session in our north-facing daylight loft, allowing you to settle naturally and slowly, completely free from the rush of digital screens.

Each roll of 120mm film is hand-developed in our darkroom, capturing delicate tonal gradients and silver halide grain with a quiet, painterly precision.

Your portraits are meticulously printed on museum-grade cotton paper, creating physical, archival prints designed to preserve your family's story for generations.

The Materials

Tangible, archival materials

We reject the impermanence of digital files. Our portraits exist as tangible objects of art, hand-developed and printed on heavy cotton rag to preserve deep chiaroscuro shadows and rich, painterly tones.
